Children in the parish who have received their First Holy Communion (usually 3rd grade) are invited to serve at the Altar.  Altar servers assist the Priest at Mass.












The lector is instituted to proclaim the readings from Sacred Scripture, with the exception of the Gospel. He or she may also announce the intentions for the Universal Prayer and recite the Psalm between the readings.

 Eucharistic Ministers prayerfully serve the people of St. Jude by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass.

Sung prayer reaches its high point in the sacred liturgy, the public worship of the Church. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is made more beautiful by the singing of every Catholic, who is called to active participation—through sung prayer, especially—in the Mass.  If you have been blessed with musical ability, perhaps you would like to join the Church of St. Jude Choir.
