Congratulations to our 2nd graders on receiving their first Holy Communion on Saturday. I pray that it is the first of many times that receive our Lord at Mass in your lifetime. Last Thursday, our students put their talents on display at the St. Cecilia Fine Arts Festival. On Tuesday of this week, our PreK and Kindergarten had beautiful weather for their trip to the Brookfield Zoo.

Science Equipment for Malawi: May 13th - 24th

We are collecting money to purchase science supplies for our sister school in Malawi, Africa. Please consider taking part of this opportunity to put our faith into action. Beach-Themed Dress Down Day

Our Student Council will be collecting non-perishable food items tomorrow, Friday, May 17th. For a student to participate in the dress down, he/she will need to bring in one (or more) non-perishable food item. Thank you for donating towards the St. Patrick’s local food pantry.

Ice Cream Tomorrow!

Students will have the opportunity purchase ice cream tomorrow during recess. Send them with $3 tomorrow if you haven’t sent the money in already. Proceeds benefit next year’s 8th grade class trip. See the attached flier for more details.

Registration Procedure for NEXT School Year

· Go online to enroll http://stjudejoliet.net/intent%20to%20enroll and pay the registration fee of $100.

· Fill out your Tuition Contract - once it is emailed to you.

· Print & Complete the school forms available online at https://www.saintjudejoliet.net/school-forms

· If your student is entering Kindergarten, 2nd, or 6th grades they will need updated physicals, dental, and vision exams.

Athletic Board Meeting: May 20th – New Members Wanted

Our Athletic Board is looking for new members. If you are interested in joining the Athletic Board, please attend the meeting on May 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Music Room.

Extended Care Notes:

- If your student is staying for after care on May 24, he/she must bring a lunch from home.

- There will be NO AFTER CARE on Friday, May 31st. Please make other arrangements if you were planning on sending your student to After Care that day. Only Morning Care will be available.

Summer Bridge Program: June

St. Jude will be offering a Summer Bridge Program for students to strengthen their reading and math skills. St. Jude is collecting your plastic caps from drinks, peanut butter jars, dairy products and more. Start collecting now! If we collect enough, a bench will be made from the recycled plastic caps. See attached flyer for more information.
